Women Empowerment

We are proud to have initiated the Mama Lishe Gala program, which officially launched on 15th June 2024. This transformative program is designed to empower women street food vendors, a group that plays a crucial role in the local economy but often lacks the resources and support needed to thrive. The initial phase of this program has successfully supported 25 women by providing them with much-needed capital and essential supplies, including rice, beans, sugar, cooking oil, clean cooking equipment, wheat flour, and soap.

Our primary goal with this initiative is to improve the business environment for these hardworking women, allowing them to operate more efficiently and sustainably. The impact of this support has been profound—through our ongoing monitoring and evaluation efforts, we have observed a consistent daily increase in their income. This financial growth has empowered these women to take significant steps toward financial security, including the opening of savings accounts, which many of them did not have before.

Building on this success, we have set an ambitious goal: to extend our support to 10,000 Mama Lishe across the country. We are committed to scaling up the program, providing more women with the resources and training they need to elevate their businesses and improve their livelihoods. To achieve this vision, we are actively seeking partnerships with stakeholders and donors who share our dedication to empowering women and fostering economic development at the grassroots level.

In addition to providing material support, the Mama Lishe Gala program includes a strong focus on education and skill-building. We organize seminars that train women on essential entrepreneurship skills, life skills, and goal achievement. These seminars are conducted in various regions, ensuring that women from different backgrounds and communities have the opportunity to benefit. By promoting self-sufficiency and entrepreneurship, we aim to help these women build a brighter, more secure future for themselves and their families.
