What We Do
Women Empowerment:
We have initiated the Mama Lishe Gala program, which launched on 15/06/2024. This program supports 25 women street food vendors by providing them with capital and essential supplies such as rice, beans, sugar, cooking oil, clean cooking equipment, wheat flour, and soap. This initiative aims to improve their business environment, and our monitoring and evaluation have shown a daily increase in their income. As a result, these women have opened savings accounts. Our goal is to expand this support to 1,000 street food vendors. We are actively seeking stakeholders and donors to help us achieve this goal. Additionally, we organize seminars that train women on entrepreneurship, life skills, and goal achievement, conducted in various regions to promote self-sufficiency.
Education:
Our education sector initiatives include constructing and renovating schools, hostels, libraries, and laboratories, as well as providing clean water facilities. We aim to create conducive learning environments for students and are seeking donors to support these efforts. We also provide essential educational materials such as books, pens, bags, and uniforms to underprivileged students. To motivate students, we host ceremonies recognizing top performers, encouraging them to strive for academic excellence.
Climate Action:
Our clean cooking program, in partnership with Oryx Tanzania, will officially launch on 14/09/2024. This initiative will provide 300 gas kits to street food vendors to reduce environmental pollution and combat climate change, aligning with the global clean cooking agenda. Additionally, we conduct environmental conservation training in schools to build awareness at the grassroots level and organize tree-planting activities, teaching students about climate change and sustainability.
Support for Vulnerable Communities:
We are committed to supporting vulnerable communities, including those affected by floods, earthquakes, and other natural disasters, as well as disabled individuals and orphans. Our goal is to provide relief and improve their living conditions, ensuring they have access to the necessary resources and support to rebuild their lives.
